BMW has released a new video featuring the OLED taillights fitted onto the M4 Iconic Lights concept.

The interesting concept made its debut back in January at CES and came with BMW's latest developments in laser headlight technology as well as with OLED taillights. The rear lighting clusters feature organic light-emitting diodes and each element is only 1.4mm thick. The taillights benefit from individual models which means these can be activated individually so it gives BMW the possibility of developing several lighting effects tailored to various conditions.

BMW has already announced OLED technology will be implemented in an M model "soon" and according to the latest gossip the model in question will be the M2 scheduled to be unveiled in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Another report indicates OLED taillights will be installed in the upcoming M4 GTS due in August which is also expected to get a water injection system as seen on the M4 MotoGP safety car.
