A Formula 1 fan decided for reasons beyond our understanding that it would be a bright idea to cross the Shanghai pit straight.

It happened yesterday during the Free Practice 2 (FP2) session for the 2015 Chinese Grand Prix when a man climbed over the wall located at the main grandstand and then dropped down to track level. There was an opening in the debris fence so he went through it and crossed the track right between the F1 cars driven by Marcus Ericsson and Nico Hulkenberg.

He climbed over the pit wall and headed to Ferrari's garage where he was caught by the security guards who handed him over to the local authorities. He motivated his reckless actions by saying that he just wanted to drive one of the F1 cars.

After this peculiar incident, the organizers of the 2015 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai decided to increase security on track.
