Scion recently took the wraps off the 2016 iA and iM at the New York Auto Show and new details are starting to emerge about next model that will be added to the brand's lineup.

In an interview with Autoguide, Scion group vice president Doug Murtha confirmed the mystery model “is a product that will be sold in other markets" but "will be sold in the U.S. as a Scion, as opposed to bringing it as a Toyota.” The executive declined to elaborate but hinted the model won't be a crossover as he thinks they "... work better with a Toyota badge on their hood [rather] than a Scion badge."

In related news, Murtha said there are no immediate plans to axe or replace the xB or tC and the company is still in talks with Subaru about a next-generation FR-S.
