Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers has revealed the company doesn't have any plans for a hypercar.

Speaking to Motoring, Moers the company hasn't even discussed the possibility of a hypercar and it's not something they are considering.  However, he left the door open for one later on as said "Maybe in the future, yes, but not in the next five, six, eight years."

The executive went on to say they could develop a hypercar but they would need to have a solid business case and enough creditability to compete with established brands such as Ferrari.

Moers also revealed an SLS AMG successor is quite a ways off as he noted "If it takes 50 to 60 years to have a Gullwing replacement coming out of the 1950s then we can wait a few more years."  He declined to give a definitive timeline but noted a replacement isn't coming in the next eight years.
