The ultra-luxury crossover segment is heating up but Range Rover has seemingly ruled out the possibility of launching an all-new model to battle entries from Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

In an interview with Car & Driver, Jaguar-Land Rover North America President Joe Eberhardt said he doesn't expect to see a model positioned above the Range Rover as "we haven’t yet seen where Range Rover can go."  Eberhardt declined to elaborate but his statement seems to suggest the company is content with offering high-end variants of the Range Rover, instead of developing an all-new model to battle the competition.

Eberhardt went on to say he isn't afraid of the Range Rover becoming less popular, even if the competition manages to steal a few sales.
