Mercedes-Benz has released four videos with the recently introduced 2016 GLE mid-size SUV.

In one of the attached videos we are able to see the GLE 250d which comes with a 4-cylinder 2.1-liter turbodiesel engine developing 204 HP (150 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. Mercedes-Benz says it provides "superior performance" while maintaining an "all-time low fuel consumption" for an SUV in this segment.

Another video shows off the plug-in hybrid GLE 500e 4MATIC which combines a conventional V6 3.0-liter BlueDIRECT V6 engine with a 7-speed automatic gearbox that houses an integrated motor. It works with a 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearbox and achieves a combined output of 442 HP (325 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It will do an astonishing 71.2 mpg US (85.6 mpg UK or 3.3 liters / 100 km) and can run on electric power for 30 km (18.6 miles) before running out of battery juice.

The range-topping Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S can be seen in another video and it has a beefy V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo churning 585 HP (430 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft). It's enough muscle for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.2 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) which can be raised to 174 mph (280 km/h) when ordering the optional AMG Driver's package.

Mercedes-Benz will introduce the GLE lineup next week at the New York Auto Show.
