Mitsubishi has published a couple of revealing teaser images depicting the 2016 Outlander facelift set to premiere on April 2 at the New York Auto Show.

The attached teaser images are a little bit futile taking into account the model has already been spied several times without any camouflage. As expected, the facelifted Outlander's design has been influenced by the Outlander PHEV Concept-S at the front where the crossover makes extensive use of chrome. The rear end looks exciting in these images but in real life it seems to be heavily inspired by the Pajero Sport.

Mitsubishi promises they have implemented more than 100 engineering and design improvements and they also lowered the NVH levels. Handling and throttle response have also been upgraded while the cabin now boats a "more eloquent yet functional interior space."
