FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) chief executive officer Sergio Marchionne has commented that his company is open to a combination with General Motors or Ford Motor Company.

Speaking to Bloomberg at the Geneva Motor Show, he said such a move is “technically feasible” and the condition for any deal is “saving the highest amount of capital” on new models. “We don’t have any restrictions,” he commented, but still there is “nothing substantive”.

When asked about a potential deal with PSA Peugeot Citroen, he sounded less enthusiastic that the French company would help FCA. He also confirmed no talks with Volkswagen AG have been made.
