Aston Martin has released a video with their limited-run hardcore Vantage GT3 special edition.

It has lost a considerable 100 kg (220 lbs) compared to the V12 Vantage S as a result of getting carbon fiber door casings, lithium-ion battery, carbon fiber hood, polycarbonate rear window and a carbon fiber roof. It rides on 19-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires while stopping power is provided by Brembo carbon ceramic breaks.

The Vantage GT3 is powered by a V12 6.0-liter engine delivering around 600 HP (441 kW) and 625 Nm (460 lb-ft) channeled to the wheels via 7-speed automated manual transmission. This hardware setup grants a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 3.7 seconds before topping out at 185 mph (297 km/h).

Aston Martin's engineers have also implemented a carbon fiber propeller shaft, limited-slip differential, magnesium inlet manifolds and a track-tuned suspension benefiting from updated dampers and springs. Inside the cabin it gets a carbon fiber stack with touch-sensitive controls, along with an Alcantara-covered steering wheel, leather door pull straps, carbon fiber sports seats and an infotainment system providing support for GPS navigation.

Aston Martin says they will make only 100 cars and will commence deliveries in the third quarter of 2015, but the model won’t be sold in China and United States.
