Skoda has confirmed the estate version of the recently introduced Skoda Superb will be introduced in September this year.

Speaking to IndianAutosBlog at the Geneva Motor Show, Skoda chairman Winfried Vahland said the Superb Combi “will come for Europe in September”. He also commented the press launch of the car will be held in July.

Meanwhile, the new estate vehicle was spotted while testing on a highway in Czech Republic. Naturally, the model features the same design with only the rear end being changed to fit the different boot lid. The boot capacity is expected to rise from the 625 liters (1,760 liters with rear seats folded) of the standard model to respectively at least 660 liters and 1,895 liters.

Engine options of the station wagon will be identical with the regular model and will include four TSI petrol units and three TDI diesel motors at launch with   power ranging from 120 HP (88 kw) to 280 HP (206 kW).
