A lightly disguised prototype of the BMW 3-Series facelift has been caught on camera.

The photographed vehicle wears some camouflage on the front end but the new LED headlights can be easily noticed. Most of the rear end is also masked, probably hiding new taillights design with LED technology and some changes for the bumper.

The interior spy photo shows the car won’t receive major changes inside the cabin. Yesterday we informed you that BMW is planning a new infotainment system with touchscreen that could be introduced for the refreshed 3-Series.

Previous reports have suggested the facelifted model will get BMW’s 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine for its entry-level versions, while the more powerful variants will be powered by reworked four- and six-cylinder engines. A plug-in hybrid with a TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery is also planned for a later date.
