Car & Driver is reporting the rumored BMW M4 GTS will be revealed this August.
BMW recently took the wraps off the 2015 M4 Coupe MotoGP safety car and it's currently on display at the Geneva Motor Show featuring a water injection system. The Bavarian marque has already hinted the new hardware will be implemented in a future production model and it seems the car in question is the M4 GTS which has been already spied several times by our agile photographers.
The car will apparently be revealed in conceptual form this August at Pebble Beach and aside from the water injection system it could also boast laser headlights and OLED taillights if we were to believe a report issued by Spanish media last month.
Expect the M4 GTS to feature more carbon fiber and aluminum components to shave off weight compared to the regular model which tips the scales at 1,572 kg (3,465 lbs). Moreover, the water injection system will help boost output of the six-cylinder 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine beyond the current 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). Other upgrades on the menu include stickier tires, stiffer suspension, beefier brakes and also a minimal interior trim to cut kilos even further.
