Americans are still stuck with the old Passat but the model is now slightly more interesting thanks to a new Limited Edition.

Far from being "limited edition" material, this latest version of the US-spec Passat comes with extra kit worth $2,755 compared to the S model but the customer only pays $1,555 for the added content, resulting in considerable $1,200 savings. It comes as standard with 17-inch alloys, keyless access with push-button start and a rearview camera while heated front seats and a power eight-way driver's seat is also included.

Equipped exclusively with the 170 bhp four-cylinder 1.8 TSI turbo gasoline engine, the 2015 Volkswagen Passat Limited Edition benefits from standard leatherette seating surfaces, eight-speaker sound system, touchscreen radio with Sirius XM Satellite Radio as well as front fog lights, chrome window surrounds and leather-covered steering wheel, shifter and parking brake.
