Mercedes has released a new promotional video for the G 500 4x4² concept.

In the clip, we can see the off-road focused concept emerge from a cave and embark on an adventure that includes a rugged mountain road and forging a stream.  The model then struts its stuff on some rocks before catching some air.

As a refresher, the G 500 4x4² features an aggressive front bumper, carbon fiber flares and a roof-mounted LED light bar. The concept also has a stainless steel skid plate, a side exiting exhaust and 22-inch wheels with off-road tires.

Since it was designed to go off-road, it also has portal axles and a returned suspension with two spring/damper struts per wheel.  Other notable highlights include a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with 422 PS (310 kW) as well as a 450mm of ground clearance.
