Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the 2015 Silverado Custom on the eve of the Chicago Auto Show.

Not to be confused with last month's Silverado Custom Sport, the new special edition is based on the double-cab Silverado LS but adds 20-inch alloys, body-colored top cap above the front bumper while the mirror caps, door handles and both bumpers have a chrome finish.

Stepping inside the cabin, there are cloth-wrapped 40/20/40 front seats, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power windows and door locks along with a MyLink infotainment system with support for 4G LTE and WiFi connectivity.

Chevrolet will sell the 2015 Silverado Custom with a 355 bhp & 383 lb-ft 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine capable of returning up to 23 mpg on the highway. Also on offer is a smaller 285 bhp & 305 lb-ft 4.3-liter EcoTec V6.

In terms of pricing, the V8 version kicks off at $33,820 in 2WD guise while the 4WD model will set you back $37,800, with both prices excluding the $1,195 destination charge. Chevrolet says they will open the order books next month.
