Alleged official patent drawings of the 2016 MINI Convertible have surfaced the web.
Shared by Autovisie, the images show the model will come with a similar design to the standard MINI but featuring a fabric roof instead of metal. The model will be based on the UKL1 platform and will mirror the engine lineup of the hatch.
The range will include a 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol with 134 bhp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque, a 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel with 114 bhp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol with 189 bhp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque.
