Chevrolet has unveiled the 2016 Equinox, ahead of its debut at the Chicago Auto Show later today.

Set to go on sale this fall, the facelifted model has a new front fascia with a prominent dual-port grille that will likely provoke love or hate it reactions. The crossover also features new projector-beam headlights, LED daytime running lights (on LT and LTZ variants) and restyled 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving further back, there's a new rear bumper, restyled taillights, a modified tailgate and a sporty dual exhaust system on models equipped with the optional V6 engine.

The interior largely carries over but there's higher quality seat upholstery, additional chrome trim and a redesigned center stack with a shelf. Entry-level models also receive a standard Color Touch infotainment system with a seven-inch display.

Engine options apparently carryover and include a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 182 bhp (135 kW) and 172 lb-ft (233 Nm) of torque as well as a 3.6-liter V6 with 301 bhp (224 kW) and 272 lb-ft (368 Nm) of torque.
