Renault's Alpine division actually built a 1:1 scale model of the Vision Gran Turismo and it was showcased at the Festival Automobile International in Paris. Needless to say, it's not a functional concept but nevertheless it's still great as it allows us to take a better look at the radical design suitable for a concept from the Vision Gran Turismo series developed for Polyphony Digital's GT6.

The concept was imagined with a mid-rear mounted 4.5-liter V8 engine unleashing 450 HP (331 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque channeled to the rear axle through a 7-speed sequential gearbox. Tipping the scales at just 900 kg (1,985 lbs), the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo features a carbon monocoque and a double wishbone suspension with pushrods and adjustable spring & damper assemblies. It tops out at 199 mph (320 km/h) and stops efficiently thanks to 390mm front & 355 mm rear vented discs with six- and four-pot calipers, respectively.

The Alpine Vision Gran Turismo will be available as a free update in Gran Turismo 6 next month.
