The facelifted Ford Ranger has returned in fresh spy shots ahead of an official reveal scheduled in the weeks to come.

Ford Asia Pacific has been playing the teasing game for quite some time with the Ranger facelift but the secret is out as this is the third time a prototype has been caught on camera without any disguise. Just like before, we are dealing with the flagship Wildtrack variant featuring a more rugged design with black accents as well as "Wildtrack" and "4x4" lettering. There's also an image with the interior cabin showing just about the same layout as in the 2015 Everest but with a rather dull all-black look.

Likely to be revealed in the following weeks, the Ford Ranger facelift promises to be "smarter, safer, smoother, stronger." Details about what will power the vehicle are not available at this point but we remind you the outgoing model has a 150 HP & 375 Nm four-cylinder 2.2-liter turbodiesel and a 200 HP & 470 Nm five-cylinder 3.2-liter TDCi.
