McLaren has released an additional teaser for the 675LT, this time showing a portion of the supercar's rear end.
Set to debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren's 675LT model will be positioned on top of the Super Series lineup, right above the 650S and the Asia-only 625C. All cars share the same twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine but for this latest application it has been upgraded to 675 HP (497 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), thus making it 25 HP (18 kW) and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) more powerful than in the 650S.
Aside from being more powerful, the 675LT will also get a Long Tail body configuration as a throwback to the 1997 F1 GTR Long Tail which will boast downforce by 40 percent compared to the 650S while dry weight will also be down from the current 1,330 kg (2,932 lbs).
In this latest teaser we take a look at the titanium exhaust system with two circular pipes which go through the exposed bodywork and are positioned below the airbrake. McLaren says this system has been developed specifically for the 675LT and has been optimized for added performance and weight savings.
Set to be offered only as a coupe, the McLaren 675LT will receive its world premiere on March 3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
