The facelifted Ford Ranger has been photographed completely undisguised during tests in Thailand.
In November last year Ford Asia Pacific provided the first preview of the car and earlier this year we saw the range-topping Wildtrak model in a spy photo. Now we have new paparazzi shots to share, probably showing the single-cab entry-level pickup.
Based on the 2015 Everest, the model features the same hexagonal radiator grille and redesigned headlights. The “smarter, safer, smoother, stronger” Ranger will go on sale later this year along with the new Everest.
Depenging on the market, the current version of the pickup is available with 150 HP (110 kW) and 375 Nm (277 lb-ft) four-cylinder 2.2-liter turbodiesel and a 200 HP (147 kW) and 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) five-cylinder 3.2-liter TDCi. They are offered with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional automatic transmission.
