Mercedes is poking fun at their cross town rivals in Stuttgart by releasing a new promotional video for the AMG GT.

In the clip, a child is dreaming about his dream car - a Porsche 911 - when all of a sudden a Mercedes-AMG GT appears in the rearview mirror. It eventually passes the Porsche and the child wakes up as the tagline rides "The car you dreamed of as a child has just been overtaken."

As a refresher, the Mercedes-AMG GT is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 462 PS (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds before hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph).

Likewise, the AMG GT S has a more upgraded twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that develops 510 PS (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before topping out at an electronically-limited 310 km/h (193 mph).
