Following last week's announcement, McLaren has revealed the nameplate of its newest product which is bound to debut in Geneva.

Sitting alongside the 650S and the Asia-only 625C, McLaren's new 675LT (Longtail) promises to be the "lightest, the quickest, and the purest version of the range." Aside from receiving the longtail treatment, the new model will bring optimized aerodynamics and a weight loss while the driver engagement and downforce have been boosted.

McLaren has also confirmed the model will pack a 675 HP (496 kW) punch most likely from an uprated twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine. Besides the additional oomph, the 675LT will also come with a revised body including a longtail treatment as a tribute to the 1997 F1 GTR Long Tail along with new side air intakes while the weight loss is estimated at around 100 kg (220 lbs).

Additional details will be released in the weeks to come ahead of the model's world debut in early March at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show where it will be exhibited alongside the production-spec P1 GTR. Deliveries of the McLaren 675LT will kick off later this year and it will be offered exclusively as a coupe.
