A mysterious "Road Race Prepared Mustang" has appeared on the Ford Racing website.

First noticed by a Mustang6G forum member, the mysterious page is placeholder that is only partially filled in. Despite this, we can see the model will cost $89,995 when it arrives in the first quarter of 2016. The listing also says the car is a factory built racer that is "ready for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes."

That's not much to go on but the M-FR500-B302S part number is the same as the Mustang Boss 302S. This could suggested the new model will replace the previous Boss 302S.

Additional information is limited but the Boss 302S featured an aerodynamic styling package, a six-point roll cage and a coilover suspension. The car also had Brembo brakes, a retuned steering system and a quick release steering wheel. Other notable highlights included a Recaro race seat, a fire suppression system and an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that was connected to a six-speed manual transmission.
