Mitsubishi has announced plans to introduce a "legend" at the Chicago Auto Show.

The company didn't have much to say about the model but the teaser image shows a crossover on a sand dune.

Unfortunately, it appears we shouldn't get too excited as Mitsubishi Motors North America Public Relations Manager Alex Fedorak told Autoblog the company is going to stage the North American debut of the GC-PHEV concept in Chicago. As you may recall, the concept was originally introduced at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, a "high-output" electric motor and a "high-capacity" battery.
