Nissan North America's Vice President of Product Planning has revealed some new details about the facelifted Altima.

Speaking to Automotive News, Pierre Loing said the 2016 Altima will receive a "significant" update that includes revised styling and upgraded technology. Loing declined to go into specifics but hinted the changes wouldn't be as drastic to those applied to the facelifted Toyota Camry.

Loing also noted the mid-size segment is shrinking but the company still believes it is "extremely important" because it represents about two million units annually in the United States.
