The Walt Street Journal is reporting Chevrolet will introduce the electric Bolt concept next week in Detroit at the 2015 NAIAS.

Back in August last year we found out Chevy registered the “Chevrolet Bolt” and "Bolt" monikers and now it appears they are ready to put these names to good use. WSJ says a Chevrolet Bolt concept will be introduced on Monday at NAIAS with battery technology from LG Chem, the same company in charge of providing the Volt with the batteries.

It is believed the electric Bolt will take the shape of a globally sold crossover with a $30,000 price tag and a maximum range of about 200 miles (322 km). The vehicle will allegedly be based on the Chevrolet Sonic and will be out in production guise sometime in 2017.
