The Viper news continues as Dodge has released a 22-minute documentary which highlights the model's design, development and performance.

Dubbed "Dodge Viper: DNA of a Supercar," the clip gives a behind-the-scenes look at how more than 3,700 parts come together to create a Viper. The video also reveals of number of interesting anecdotes including the fact that 48 percent of the Viper’s exterior is carbon fiber and more than 90 percent of the Viper’s interior is hand-wrapped in premium leather.

In a statement, Dodge and SRT President Tim Kuniskis said “The Dodge Viper is a precision-handcrafted machine expressively built to stimulate all the senses of an enthusiast’s soul." He added, “It’s not widely known what it takes to create this supercar, including the 140 to 160 hours to hand paint each Viper, so we produced the film to show what sets the Viper apart from everything else in its segment.”
