Porsche has released a new video showcasing what's going on in the test facility of the 911 GT3 (991).

Earlier this week we saw how the 918 Spyder comes to life and now Porsche is providing a glimpse of the test facility for one of their lesser models, the 911 GT3 priced in Germany from €137,303. The magic happens on the assembly line in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen for a model which ran into some serious issues during its first months on the market, prompting Porsche to recall all cars in March last year (785 units at that time) and replace their engines due to some issues with the connecting rod fasteners.

Speaking of the engine, the latest Porsche 911 GT3 comes with a 6-cylinder 3.8-liter boxer engine pushing out 475 HP (349 kW) and 438 Nm (324 lb-ft). The rear wheels (which also steer) receive power from a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and allow the model hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in three and a half seconds before topping out at 195 mph (315 km/h).

A more hardcore 911 GT3 RS version is during the final stages of development and could be introduced as early as March at the Geneva Motor Show.
