A new video has emerged with the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V allowing us to hear the roar provided by the supercharged V8 engine.

Unveiled less than two weeks ago, the new CTS-V is America's answer to the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and the like thanks to a 6.2-liter supercharged engine. It delivers a massive 640 bhp (477 kW) and 630 lb-ft (855 Nm) of torque to the road via an 8-speed automatic gearbox which grants the new CTS-V with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.7 seconds and a 200 mph (322 km/h) maximum speed.

It will be seen in the flesh later this month in Detroit during the North American International Auto Show where Cadillac will probably also exhibit a version equipped with the optional carbon fiber package bringing a more aggressive design of the front splitter, hood vent, rear diffuser and spoiler. Other goodies on the menu for the 2016 CTS-V include 19-inch forged aluminum wheels shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, a quad exhaust arrangement while inside the cabin there's a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a CUE infotainment system.

Cadillac says pricing will be disclosed closer to the CTS-V's market launch programmed for late summer.
