The Porsche 911 2.7 RS turns out to be a great classic car investment, according to a new report.

The Telegraph says the market value of the German sports vehicle has increased by an incredible 669 percent in the past 10 years. Back in 2004, an RS Touring in good condition would cost about 65,000 GBP (101,000 USD), while currently the price is more than 500,000 GBP (777,000 USD), depending on condition on originality.

The even rarer Lightweight RS version is ever more expensive with one example going under the hammer for 900,00 GBP (1.4M USD) earlier this year. In 1980 the car was offered for 9,000 GBP (14,000 USD).
