Chevrolet Trax chief engineer Al Manzor has revealed the company could eventually offer a GMC variant.

Speaking to Automotive News, Manzor said a GMC variant is "certainly possible" and the positive feedback the Trax has generated has the company looking at "opportunities with other brands."

As a refresher, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax starts at $20,995 and has a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 138 bhp (103 kW) and 148 lb-ft (200 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for additional $1,500.
