The Ford Mondeo has been digitally envisioned with an ST sports treatment once again
The Ford Mondeo has been digitally envisioned with an ST sports treatment once again.
Following a similar project from X-Tomi Design from October, Theophilus Chin has presented his vision on the topic. There is still no information Ford is actually planning such a model, but we won’t be surprised if later on the company decides to release a Mondeo ST since previous generations of the car were offered in ST variants.
These new renderings show the Mondeo fastback with larger wheels, modified front bumper with carbon fiber additions and a new set of fog lights, while at the back we see a new bumper with a quad exhaust system.
In the past Ford offered the Mondeo ST with diesel and petrol engines. The third generation of the model, for example, had a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol unit with 220 HP (162 kW) and a 2.2-liter common-rail diesel with 155 HP (114 kW). Its successor had a 2.5 turbo petrol with 220 HP (162 kW), which was replaced by a 2.0 EcoBoost with 240 HP (177 kW).
