Ferrari has released this week the first videos with Sebastian Vettel as Scuderia's official driver.
Quadruple Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel has made its debut as an official Ferrari Formula 1 pilot by driving the F2012 car in Italy around the Fiorano track owned by Ferrari. He completed approximately 100 laps during which he actually put the car through its paces even though the track was quite damp so traction wasn’t ideal.
Aside from meeting the team and getting used to Ferrari’s previous Formula 1 cars, Vettel also spent some time in the simulator ahead of the first race programmed for March 15 in Melbourne for the 2015 Australian Grand Prix.
We remind you Sebastian Vettel is replacing Fernando Alonso at Ferrari and he signed a three-year contract. His teammate for the 2015 season will be Kimi Raikkonen who returned to Ferrari in 2014 for a two-year deal.
As far as the Spaniard is concerned, most likely Alonso will race for McLaren and replace either Kevin Magnussen or Jenson Button. An announcement will probably be made in the following days.
