Maserati has disclosed plans to put the Levante on sale by the end of next year.

Yesterday we found out the Alfieri coupe & convertible along with a new GranTurismo coupe are on their way and now Maserati has confirmed the Levante crossover will start reaching customers late 2015. Previewed by the Kubang concept, the Levante will be based on the Ghibli and is going to be offered with an all-wheel drive Q4 system adapted specifically for the high-riding model.

Power is expected to be provided by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 410 bhp (306 kW) along with a beefier 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 530 bhp (395 kW) while a turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6 with 271 bhp (202 kW) will likely be the top-seller in Europe. All three engines will work with an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to both axles.

The Maserati Levante will be produced at the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy and will be available in right-hand drive configuration starting early 2016.
