A dealership in South Charlotte, North Carolina is already taking orders for the unannounced Grand National and GNX revivals.

In May last year we heard a rumor about Buick's plans to resurrect two of its iconic models, the Grand National and GNX, but nothing materialized. Now, GM Authority is reporting that Liberty Buick GMC in South Charlotte, NC is already taking orders for these two cars and have established waiting lists. Moreover, Scott McCorkle who owns the dealership says he received several calls from customers who want to take the cars out for a test drive.

If Buick will resurrect the models, expect the Grand National and GNX to ride on the Alpha rear-wheel drive platform that underpins the Cadillac ATS from where the duo will source the engines. The GNX will probably remain all-black and should be powered by a V6 3.6-liter twin-turbo engine rated at 455 bhp (339 kW) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) sourced from the 2016 ATS-V.

If Scott's statement is to be trusted, expect the all-new Grand National and GNX to be unveiled as early as 2015.
