A mysterious Ferrari LaFerrari test vehicle has been photographed outside the Italian company’s factory in Maranello.

It’s hard to make any reasonable speculation about what’s hiding underneath the heavy camouflage, but chances are we are looking at the first test prototype of the rumored LaFerrari Spider. The test vehicle wears LaFerrari’s rear wheels, while the fronts are smaller and probably fitted for testing purposes.

Previous reports have said the butterfly doors could be replaced by more conventional units, which could be an explanation for the standard doors on this test mule. It is believed the Spider will feature a removable roof that consists of two panels, while production will be limited to less than 10 units. Prices are likly to start at $2-4 (€1.6-3.2 / £1.2-2.5) million.
