Jon Hunt, a UK billionaire and founder of Foxtons Estate Agents, is suing a service shop after his rare Lamborghini Miura burst into flames with his son still inside.

Hunt is currently taking legal action against H.R. Owen Dealerships, searching for about $1.1 million (880,000 EUR) as a compensation for the damaged Italian supercar. The vehicle was destroyed after bursting into flames in West London in 2013, when Hunt’s son took it back from the garage.

According to Yahoo News, a writ at the High Court states: “The defendant notified Mr Hunt that the services had been completed and the vehicle was ready for collection. On April 5, 2013 Mr Hunt, by his son, attended the garage to collect the vehicle. Mr Hunt’s son was then provided with the keys to the vehicle. He then proceeded to drive into London along the A40. As the vehicle proceeded it did not appear to be running smoothly. Within less than one mile of the garage, the vehicle’s engine gave off a puff of white smoke.”
