The European version of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been highlighted in a new hi-res gallery.
The sports model is available on the Old continent at a 74,500 EUR (92,425 USD) starting price (Germany) since April 2014. Just for comparison, the US-spec has a 43,975 EUR (54,995 USD) price tag excluding destination charges.
In Europe, the 2015 Corvette Stingray comes with the Z51 performance package as standard. It includes a limited-slip differential, a dry-sump oiling system, an integral brake, differential and transmission cooling, a specific performance gear ratio and larger wheels, brakes and tires.
The vehicle is available in selected European countries and has the same 6.2-liter V8 engine as the American version. It produces 466 PS (343 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque and is mated exclusively to a 7-speed manual transmission. This setup allows the Corvette Stingray to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.2 seconds. Top speed is rated at 290 km/h (180 mph) for the coupe and 282 km/h (175 mph) for the convertible.
