AMG CEO Tobias Moers has revealed plans for a handful of new AMG GT variants.

Speaking with Car & Driver, Moers confirmed there will be a Black Series variant but it will come "more later than sooner." The executive went on to say they will launch a "nice" variant before the Black Series. Little is known about the mystery model but it will be launched in approximately two years and magazine believes it will slot between the GT S and GT Black Series.

While previous reports have suggested the AMG GT would be offered exclusively as a hatchback, Moers didn't deny plans for a convertible. This doesn't necessarily mean one is in the works but it seems more likely now.
