Following its online reveal late September, the McLaren 625C Coupe has made its public debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.

The 625C (Club) is an Asia-only model set to be commercialized both as a Coupe and Spider with a detuned twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine developing 625 HP (460 kW) and 450 lb-ft (610 Nm). We remind you in the internationally available 650S, the motor churns 650 HP (478 kW) and 677 Nm (500 lb-ft) sent to the road through a dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox.

Due to the power difference, the 625C Coupe does the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds, making it 0.1s slower than the 650S. It’s the same story for the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) run which takes 8.8 seconds (0.4s more) while the top speed has remained the same at 207 mph (333 km/h). The 625C Spider hits 124 mph from a standstill in 9 seconds and tops out at 204 mph (329 km/h).

Aside from getting a slightly less powerful engine, the 625C Coupe & Spider come with a revised mechanical balance featuring new dampers and a less stiff rear spring rate, creating what McLaren is describing as being their most refined models ever.
