After yesterday's leak, the Kia KX3 concept has made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.

It serves as a preview for a compact crossover which will be commercialized exclusively in China by the company's joint venture Dongfeng Yueda Kia (DYK). The high-riding vehicle is 4260mm long, 1765mm wide, 1630mm tall and features a 2590mm wheelbase along with a 400-liter cargo capacity.

It looks pretty much like a downsized Sorento with the tiger nose grille which in this application has received a matte chrome surround and sits below the sharp-looking LED headlights. It also gets chrome body cladding, a raised ride height, roof rails and an all-wheel drive arrangement.

Power of the Kia KX3 concept is provided by a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine teamed up with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox sending power to both axles. Kia says they have engineered the vehicle's chassis to obtain a five-star rating in the C-NCAP crash tests by using ultra-high tensile steel.

Photos of the interior cabin have not been provided but we do know it offers a "high level of refinement and comfort", boasting the company's latest in-car connectivity technology with support for smartphones. It also packs a wide array of standard equipment which will be available for the production version along with numerous optional goodies.
