A 73-year-old man behind the wheel of a BMW 5-Series (E39) drove in the wrong direction for no less than 8 miles (13 km).

After seeing a truck driver making an illegal U-turn on the M6, now time has come to take a look at a way more dangerous driver who for reasons beyond our understanding drove in the wrong direction for 8 miles on the A23 dual carriageway in United Kingdom.

The police have identified the driver as a 73-year-old pensioner from Burgess Hill in West Sussex and because of his reckless driving, a van hit a telegraph pole after the driver tried to avoid the incoming BMW but the good news is he wasn't injured.

The 5-Series driver eventually stopped the car on the A23 to the north of the Mill Road roundabout in Brighton after being intercepted by a road police squad. He was immediately taken to the hospital for investigations to try and find out an explanation for his dangerous behavior.
