Honda has introduced in Japan the 2015 Legend which is essentially a rebadged version of the US-spec Acura RLX Sport Hybrid.

The American version went on sale a short while ago and now Honda is putting the finishing touches on the JDM-spec version which will be available starting January 22, 2015. Aside from the different badges and the RHD steering wheel, the two cars are virtually identical and the Japanese variant carries a starting price of ¥6,800,000.

Its heart and soul is the same V6 3.5-liter engine working with three electric motors (two rear + one front), a 260 volt lithium-ion battery and a seven-speed DCT to create what it's being described as a Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system. The combined output stands at 382 HP (281 kW) and 461 Nm (341 lb-ft) which according to Honda is enough to provide an acceleration better than a V8 while granting the fuel economy of an inline-four engine.

Just like the Acura RLX Sport Hybrid, Honda's JDM-spec Legend is equipped with "Jewel Eye" LED headlights and benefits from a wide array of goodies including a head-up display, digital speedometer, color display built into the rear center armrest along with a Krell Industries sound system packing 14 speakers.
