Audi has taken the wraps off the 2015 Q3 facelift ahead of a scheduled public debut, following a report issued a month ago.

In typical Audi fashion, the cosmetic tweaks are subtle at best and include a sharper single frame trapezoidal front grille and updated headlights equipped with xenon plus lighting and LED daytime running lights while at an additional cost clients can add LED headlights to go with the revised LED taillights and both of them benefit from dynamic turn signals.

As far as the engines are concerned, the 2015 Audi Q3 will be available with three TFSI and three TDI four-cylinder engines, all turbocharged and emitting up to 17 percent less CO2 than before. These are Euro 6-compliant motors with a displacement varying from 1.4 to 2.0 liters providing an output between 120 HP (88 kW) and 220 HP (162 kW).

The crown jewel RS Q3 continues with its five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which now develops an extra 30 HP & 30 Nm to offer a grand total of 340 HP (250 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque channeled to a quattro AWD system through a seven-speed S tronic transmission. This hardware setup allows the high-performance crossover sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds (0.7s quicker) before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Aside from the bump in power, Audi has also installed an RS exhaust system featuring switchable flaps to provide a more powerful soundtrack.

Deliveries of the Audi Q3 facelift will kick off in February 2015 at a base price of €29,600 whereas those of the RS Q3 will start in the first quarter of next year to customers willing to pay the €56,600 price tag.
