Radical has unveiled their new SR8 RSX at the Circuit de Barcelona in Spain.

Set to be launched early next year, the SR8 RSX is a high-performance race car that features a composite body and a tubular steel chassis. The model also has high-performance brakes and lightweight 17-inch wheels.

Power is provided by a 3.0-liter V8 engine that develops 440 bhp (328 kW) and 280 lb-ft (379 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed paddle-shift transmission which should ensure the 860 kg (1896 lb) car has rapid acceleration.

The SR8 RSX is slated to cost ££109,950 (excluding VAT) and the engine should last approximately 40 hours between rebuilds.

Besides the SR8 RSX, Radical unveiled a high-performance SR3 RSX which features a Suzuki-sourced 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 210 bhp (156 kW) and 124 lb-ft (168 Nm) of torque. Those figures don't sound terribly impressive but they enable the model to rocket from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds before hitting at top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
