The Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991) has made a comeback in a photograph of what appears to be an officially licensed scale model.

Porsche's worst kept secret at the moment is without any doubt the 911 GT3 RS which has been spied several times and also exposed through a scale model back in June. A new photo of a die-cast toy has emerged onto the web showing a wider body with vented fenders, carbon fiber front & rear spoiler lips and a massive rear wing.

Along with the photo, Autogespot is reporting the 911 GT3 RS will remain naturally aspirated and will develop more than 500 bhp (373 kW) sent to the wheels exclusively through a PDK. The launch color seen here is apparently called "Java Orange" and according to the same report Porsche has implemented a Pit Lane function which will ensure a maximum regulated speed in the pit lane.

There's no word about an official launch but we will likely see it next March at the Geneva Motor Show so an online reveal should occur in the next couple of months.
