Chevrolet has high hopes for the 2015 Colorado so it comes as little surprise that the company's truck marketing director has revealed we can expect an assortment of special editions and performance parts.

Speaking to Edmunds, Sandor Piszar said "We have an enthusiastic owner base" and "special edition models are a great way to keep what we call 'new news' going in the showroom." Piszar went on to highlight the success of the Silverado Rally Edition which is typically sold within 20 days of arriving at dealerships.

There's no word on when the first Colorado special edition will be launched but Piszar suggested we can expect at least one or two special editions every year.

In releated news, Piszar confirmed the company is considering a wide array of performance parts including everything from sports exhaust systems to lifted suspensions.
