A prototype of the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has been caught on camera while having engine problems.

The vehicle was spotted by YouTube user John Keep on Woodward Avenue in Michigan and as you can see from the attached footage, the test driver had some problems starting up the engine. The latest report suggest that lurking underneath the hood is a naturally aspirated V8 5.2-liter engine featuring a flat-plane crankshaft with a large vibration damper at the end to minimize vibrations.

Based on preliminary unofficial data, the engine is believed to develop as much as 600 bhp (447 kW) and a maximum torque of 582 Nm (430 lb-ft). It will be offered in both coupe and convertible body styles and will command a significant premium over the current $32,100 GT flagship version which uses a V8 5.0-liter rated at 435 bhp (324 kW) and 541 Nm (400 lb-ft).

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will be unveiled next year and is set to go on sale as a 2016 model year.
