Acura executive Koichi Fukuo has revealed the company is considering making all-wheel drive standard across their lineup.

Speaking to Automotive News, Fukuo said all-wheel drive is key as the company needs "something different from the competition." The executive went on to praise Subaru's embracement of all-wheel drive and stated "I think that's the way we should go."

The all-wheel drive proposal is just one of the ideas being considered to improve the brand's image but nothing has been decided as of yet. However, the company appears to have ruled out rear-wheel drive models and V8 engines. The latter is a notable omission but Fukuo said we can expect more powerful engines in the future.
